Psychological therapy with Dr Steve Hoole

A clinical psychologist trained in a variety of therapies but drawing mainly on psychodynamic and attachment based approaches such as Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) and Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFCT).
These types of therapy allow a deep exploration of earlier life experiences and relationships, and help clients to understand how the early patterns of relating to themselves and others, may impact their present day problems. They may be causing problems in current relationships or be making it difficult to deal with present life circumstances.
Whatever the issue, therapy with Dr Hoole, either individually or as part of a couple relationship, aims to help clients understand their motivations and feelings more clearly and allow them to move forwards and build the life they want.

Individual Therapy: £130/session (50 minutes)
Couples Therapy: £150/session (60 minutes)

Integrative counselling with Katy Hoole

An integrative BACP- registered counsellor. This type of counselling puts the client at the centre of the therapy. The counsellor is there to listen, offer empathy, reflect on what the client brings and provide a safe non-judgemental space for the client to explore the things that are important to them. The counsellor does not offer advice, opinion or judgement, but instead helps the client to think about challenges they may be facing, work through difficult or uncomfortable feelings, and allow them voice things that may have been unsaid or hidden for a long time.

Our integrative counselling uses the person-centred and EFIT models as its core. Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) has its foundations in attachment theory and places great value on the need for secure emotional connections within and between individuals. Using this approach, EFIT aims to transform core emotional experiences, moving clients from emotional experiences that can feel alien, frightening and unacceptable, to a place where they can self-regulate, find acceptance, and start to form new ways of being with themselves and others.

This is a healing experience that can help to leave behind feelings or experiences that are no longer useful to the client, and allow them to grow into the person they want to be.

£65 per therapeutic hour (50 minutes)
